My son is 11 years old and had stopped bed wetting @ 8 years old... he restarted this past September and I am at a loss... we have tried waking him, he sleeps so soundly we can't
Get him up. The doctor recommeded meds but they did not work. HELP!

Have you tried putting an alarm by his bed?
Have you tried an alarm for yourself to go off at the same time to nudge him if he doesn't wake up to his own alarm. It is strenuous, but it is well worth it. In the long run after setting the alarm for the same time every night, for oh, I would say about two months, he should be getting into a cycle of when he needs to wake to use the restroom.
Also, make sure of course that he doesn't have anything to drink for an hour before bed and make sure he goes to the restroom RIGHT before bed. After he brushes his teeth he can get a small drink from the faucet. These are the same techniques I used for one of our children and they worked. :) I hope they work for your boy! Good luck!

Make sure that he goes to the bathroom right before bed. No drinks at least 3 hours before bed. Also try waking him up about an hour after he goes to bed and about an hour before he should get up, that's when they tend to go most often. Good luck!

The "can't get him up" if the house was on fire, could you wake him up, if you want to wake him up I am sure he could be woke up.

But as to the issue, is he having some trouble at school or in some social group setting ?

Someone's Grandma restricted fluids and had them eat a small bag of salty potato chips before brushing their teeth. They never wet the bed at Grandma's house.

There is a hormone replacement tablet (it just replaces the hormone that sends the message to the brain that you need to pee) as some people don't produce this hormone at night. Its nothing suss or dangerous. Your doctor could explain it much better the I can. Its called Minirin. It comes in tablets, injection and nasel spray. I have found the tablets work better. Honstly look into it it is a life saver and it will make your son so much happier.
