Daddy will be very busy and very tired while in basic training. Make sure the children draw him pictures, write letters (with your help, of course), and realize how brave he is. Post the kids' hand-drawn pictures of him on the refrigerator. Go to the library and check out books on families of all kinds, including military families. In the Dewey Decimal number 355 will be books that contain photos of humvees and tanks and planes. Look at maps (912) to figure out where he is; do image and map searches on Internet for more visuals on where he is. Ask a librarian for help, if you can't find stuff.
