Do I HAVE to let his father see him?
About situation... My son is 8 and has NOT seen or heard from his real dad in 3yrs nor has the father been paying child support but recently sighned the child support order in Jan'08 and still no payment so I filled for abandonment in Nov'08 and was suppose to go to court Dec'08. A day before court the child support office calls and says he sending a lump sum of money so don't go to court. Then the dad started calling and so I let him talk to my son and has been calling for few weeks and we are suppose to meet up because ha says he wants to give him his christmas stuff, but also said he wanted to take him for the weekend and I said no cause its too early and I don't even know him anymore. He got upset well long story short... I don't mind the 15-30min visits if we meet somewhere but my ? Is DO I HAVE TO LET HIM SEE HIS SON? And if I refuse what can happen to me? Also when we were together he used to beat me and curse me in front of our son and this time when he started yelling at me it was like old times all over again and I don't want my son around that I'm married now and really don't even want his money we were doing fine for 3yrs without. Is there anyway he could pay and not see him and me not get in trouble for it. Anyway I give him 6mths and he'll be gone again.

If he has legal visitation rights... yea

There are quite a few charges a judge could slap on if they wanted to and those aren't fun
