    Birth certificate
I have a 3 yr old who has never seen her bio father and I'm not 100% sure were he even is. My husband of 3 yrs wants his last name to be on her birth certificate (she has my maiden name) or to adopt her. Does anyone know the laws in Missouri or a site I can go to so I can read up on our legal options. Thanks for any help

You can not just change the birth certificate, you will have to adopt. An attempt to find the bio father will have to be done ( lawyer can help with that) and the bio father served papers, if he will just sign his rights over to adopt, no problem, If you are collecting child support from him and making him pay, when he finds out he can stop paying when the new partner adopts most likely he will be glad to sign.
