Every baby develops at different paces. I have a 2 1/2 year old that BARELY talks when other kids his age are talking fully. Someone suggested a speech therapist for him, but he'll come around when he's ready. Just work with your baby and spend lots of time with him/her and he'll come around! :)

Mmm just to make sure, ask your maternal and child health nurse for a hearing test-poor hearing is a common issue with poor or slower than usual speech development.

There is a pressure test for babies that can check if they hear properly-its a machine and it does not hurt.

This is only a precautionary measure-I think your child is within the normanl range of development.
