You just got your period. Do you live with your mother? She got her period years ago, and knows everything you need to know. Brown = old blood that's been exposed to air near the outside edge of your vagina for a bit. Chunky = menstrual tissue, the lining that builds up on the walls of the uterus each month, and then slough off as your period. Clear gooey stuff = a typical discharge that most women get at times, but not other times, and it's harmless. (If it is more like cottage cheese and white-white, that's usually a sign of yeast, and that itches, and needs a treatment you can get in a drugstore. But don't take it if you don't need it.)

    No.

Ok, now that I said what you are begging to hear, you've already been told in a different thread that you posted that it sounds like your period and you need to talk to your mother. Starting new questions and asking the same thing while begging to hear the answer that you want to hear will change nothing. It's a fact of life and something that you will just need to deal with even if you don't want it yet.

Many girls start their period at 11, many even younger. Do tell your mother... she can ease your worry. If you are too scared to tell her in person, write it down and hand it to her.

You don't need to be scared. This is something that happens and it is a fact of life. Talk to your mother about it, she went through it also.

Are you constipated? If any blood comes out, wipe well when you're finished (wipe front to back), then flush. Early periods, even for the first year, can be erratic.

It is only natural that you don't want to apply pressure, but what you think is going to happen won't happen. You are doing more damage to yourself, with your bowels, then you really need to do by trying to hold it back.

Yes, you probably felt like there was 'something', but it never got the whole way and that is just natural,

You are a woman now, how do you think we ALL handle this. And by the way, your mom is a good source of information too !

It can be scary at first, but try to keep in mind that this is not like an injury that bleeds. Normally bleeding is a sign of an injury, or a health problem, and can cause concern, but this is not the same. This is all part of your design as a female maturing. It is actually quite amazing what your body is capable of when you learn more about how things work.

The bleeding may seem like a bit sometimes, but it really is not a large amount. At other times you may notice only a little.

See if you can pick up a couple of books at the library on the subject. The more you learn about it, the less fearful you will be.

Talk to your mom. This is a natural event that happens to all women.

No need to be scared, Time to read and study up, to get rid of the fear.

The flow will be very heavy sometimes, and other times very light.

Also, the discharge is just normal function. Nothing to worry about.

All the other girls in your class either are doing the same thing or will soon be doing the same thing. Tampons can pose a special risk to the females that use them. Particularly if they are used incorrectly.

You really need to get over your fears, and talk to your mom about this. What possible reason could you have for not talking to her? She is around isn't she?

That's what moms are for, and she would be glad to help you through this. Then you won't have to be scared about everything you do.

You are hurting yourself with your FEAR if she is. Try some honesty instead of all the questions about the same thing.

You can use pads that are very thin and would not really be noticed. If you act normally as you are changing your clothes, no one will be paying attention.
