    Help confused
Ok I know this is awkward but I started puberty at 11 and had white discharge for months. Then now that I'm 12, I had red period blood. A month later, I had light brown discharge for some days is this my period? BTW just started

This is completely normal, the same thing happened to me, since your period has just started your body is going to have to take some time to adjust to the change your going through, please don't worry about it, it might take a while but it will happen

alanad123 is exactly right. You may not have another period of red bleeding for several months or so, or it could be like that next month. When first starting, many people find it can be pretty irregular, so it can be a good idea to always have a pad in a purse or backpack just in case it's needed while you are at school or out somewhere (your school will have some available just in case you need it too).

This is so normal. Welcome to womanhood, sucks doesn't it? ;)

The first few years can be hit and miss, get a period one month lasts for 2 days, next month it lasts for 2 weeks, then you miss 3 months and only have brown discharge. It's frustrating.

You're young, your period will even out, become more regular, or it should. Doesn't happen for everyone, some women have irregular periods all their lives, my mother was lucky to get a period once a year, which made conceiving (not something you're worried about now and hopefully won't be worried about for many many many years), even harder, that and other issues.

But the majority of women even out, get a regular cycle, have their cycle for a number of days and then wait for the next.

Having said that, even women that can tell you the exact date they get their period every month, can have off months.

Unless you're sexually active there's really no reason to worry if you're a few days off. At this age you can be months off and not worry.

Now, if you are concerned, seeing your doctor is always a good idea.

Welcome to womanhood. We all hate it. ;)
