    Metals:
    Aluminium
    Copper
    Iron
    Magnesium
    Tin
    Zinc

    Acids:
    Nitric
    Sulphuric
    Hydrochloric
    That's it!

    The simplest answer is that a metal plus an acid yields a salt plus hydrogen. IF they react.
    The ACTIVITY SERIES will tell you which metals do this.
    There is more to it than this, but here's where you need to start.
