Installing a digital TV card to an analog dvd recorder
I have an old panasonic analog dvd recorder model DMR-EH58 so can't record in digital. Have also just moved house and now only have a UHF aerial so can't even get a reception. Is it possible to update the recorder to digital. My son could install a card easily enough if it was possible.

    Thanks

If you used to hook the antenna in to the recorder and then pass it to the TV I can see your problem. But if you hook the digital antenna to the TV (assuming it can do digital) can't you use the TV's composite out to the recorder? It should be an analog signal from the composite or svideo outs. Not all TV's have analog outs though, usually they're ins to watch dvd's not outs to record them.
