    It might need to be replaced. I'm assuming you have tried rebooting and doing a system restore.

    The good news is you can get a new drive a burner instead of a ROM very inexpensively.

    I had a problem losing my CD Drive after using a program, I would restore my register and get it back maybe that might work.
