Hi,

I have been using my cd burner for about 2 years. But all of a sudden the burning process does not complete successful and shows errors regardless of the burning software I use. I have been using nero 7. My operating system is Windows XP SP 2. please help, what should I do. Here is a log file that nero produces:

Hint:on the Exixting Drivers part it shows nothing could the problem be with drivers?

Have you tried more than 1 discs with these other types of burning software?

Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any software or hardware that you installed or setup.

Install any type of cd or dvd software recently?

Have you tried burning at a lower speed?

See you have Simulate : TRUE - try burning without the simulate option

Burning mode : TAO Track at once should work, but you usually get better results to write disk at once (DAO) for single writes and session at once for multi-session.

Multisession : FALSE It isn't part of your problem, but you usually set up for multi-session writing data unless you fill the CD. That way you can add additional sessions. Doesn't work for audio though as most entertainment players will see only the first session.

Determine maximum speed : FALSE If you leave that off make sure to not burn faster than the rated speed of your CDs. It is usually better to leave it on and have the burner test the CD for maximum safe burn rate.
