    She will take care of it herself by cleaning, please don't disturb her in any way. She knows what to do.

    Island, if you find this disturbing, after she is through with her heat, take her to the vet and get her spayed. It not only avoids the mess a heat brings, it evens out a females temperament, and avoids the possibility of uterine cancer as she ages. A spayed cat is a happy cat, which means a happy owner.
