    Odd Behavior
I have just recently moved into a new apartment and my cat is finally settled realizing this is her home but when I pour her food she scratches on the floor and wall around her dish like they do in the litter box before she eats. Is there any specific reason for this??

I can't answer your question, but I have 14 cats, and at LEAST 10 of mine do that. It's enough to drive you insane. There is a food dish in my bedroom just in case one of them gets locked in all day. The one cat comes up to bed with me every night, and she'll eat some and then she stands at the dish half of the night scratching at it. I have read that they may not like the food and that is why they do it, but I have tried numerous kinds of food and they just keep scratching away.

Yes, it can't be the food with mine because she loves it. She eats so much lol But my cat is weird too, she doesn't like 90% of human food, won't drink milk... she seems to like roast beef lol

Your cat doesn't like the food you are giving her. You might want to try another brand(s) until you find one she likes.
