    Cat Pregnant
I have a cat that was left at work I brought her home she is about 9 months old and before I got her spayed she got pregnant. I know when she got pregnant and should be having her kittens soon I have prepared her a spare bedroom to have the kittens in but how can I tell when she goes into labor?

The gestation for cats is about 61 days. No matter where you want the cat to have the kittens, she'll pick out her own place-hopefully it will be the same place you want! At the onset of labor, cats usually will go to said place, stop eating, vocalize, pant. If you find her somewhere weird, LEAVE HER THERE! The worst thing we do as caring owners is try to "help". Animals have been doing this forever and do not need the added stress of us messing with them. It can take several hours for all the kittens to be born or she may only have 1 or 2. Check on her quietly and make sure Purina Kitten Chow and fresh water are available. She will need to eat the kitten chow until kittens are weaned. Hope this helps!
