Five month old female spayed siamese has partially clear/red mucus in feces?
Adopted this kitten from the petsmart partner in the store. I have had her for almost three months and she came with all her shots already done and spayed. She's happy, energetic, loves to annoy the dog, eats normally (I feed her the kitten purina formula, dry food), and has healthy coat, ears, and eyes.

Lately in the past week. I've noticed three times now, after she poops, she has some partially clear and partially red mucus like substance lingering around her anus. I've wiped it off with tissue and it is odorless. Her poop itself is very soft but not diarrhea. And its smelly. It's been that way since I adopted her though. So this mucus substance is new.
Should I be worried or is there an normal explanation for it?
I've inspected and gently pressed on her belly and abdomen to see if she would react or show signs of discomfort but she just purred and wanted more attention after that.

Have you taken her for a vet check yet? It sounds like the time is now.

No I haven't. I wanted to make sure I wasn't freaking out over nothing. The last time I did with the dog having diarrhea turned out to be nothing. So before spending a lot of money I thouht I'd ask on here.

Anytime I see red (blood), I decide it's time to visit the vet. Could you call first and ask a vet tech?
