    Abscess inside cat’s rectum
I thought my cat had been attacked, but the vet thinks that he had an abscess and it exploded. It looks like half of his tail has been torn away from his rear and the inside of the flesh is exposed. Has anyone ever delt with this before? The vet said that he has never seen anything like this before.

Yes, I have seen this before. When cats fight, bites, nails are extremely loaded with very dirty particles. Your cat got or scratched by another cats very dirty nails/teeth. It is called 'so my vet says 'cat scratch fever', and it has to be treated with antibiotics and keeping an eye on the infection.

Your vet better get back to school to learn more of what goes on with really fllthy cat fights.

Otic drops on rectum [ 3 Answers ]

So I have some prescription a/b otic drops for an ear infection (for pain) that I've gotten over. I was wondering if it would be harmful to use them on a torn rectum, or if it would even be to any avail. Thanks.
