    Kind of sickly kitten
The neighborhood cat had kittens under my house around Mothers Day. That makes these kittens about 5 weeks old. We came outside day before yesterday and there was one. Then yesterday there was another, now today there is one more. The rest seem to be OK except the one from yesterday. It's eyes were kind of matted and half open. Then the moma just walked around it like it was a stranger to her. We had a real bad thundarstorm yesterday and it was out in it, so we brought it in. The moma wouldn't let it back under the house. I tried giving it some milk until I talked to a vet and they said "NO!" that wouldn't do. Until I looked online and found a reciepe that someone else had found. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. It consist of water, Knox gelatin, plain yogurt, mayo, and goats milk. Also, I've read on here a couple of things about the eyes. Do the tea bags REALLY work? Please someone let me know something as soon as they can! Thank You Very Much!

Warm water for the eyes, possibly a little bit of boric acid (from the drug store used for mild crusty eye infections). He/she has gotten a chill. Keep warm and cuddly, possibly in a warm soft lap and watch

As for food, liquid baby formula (nothing as extreme as what vet suggested). The kind that comes in the bottle with a nipple, or you can try it in a saucer to the wee thing can lap it up. Either way, baby formula will work. Rub tummy after so the kitten will eliminate. That stimulates the bladder and intestines. Offer lots of water, be patient while he/she tries to learn how to lick something up. Its fun to watch them develop skills that have to be learned in an instant. They grow so fast.

If it sounds like a lot of work, well, if you want to keep the little thing, you will have a friend for its entire life, mariettamoma. Good luck.
