5 week old kittens passing bloody stool
5 weeks old kittens are passing bloody stool and will an antibiotic help clear it up?

Blood in stool is never a healthy sign... get to a vet ASAP!

All kittens need to be treated for parasites.It is common for kittens to have worms,so take all of them to the vet for a quick check-up.Most vets have special rates for owners of litters.;) Worms and fleas can kill a pet without treatment.

Thank you for the info. I'm sure these two have parasites as they were the only two left from a non-owned cat in town. They got to be about four or five weeks old in an old condemned building. Since I have one cat already, I had planned to take them to the humane society, but I just might keep them.
Have you ever heard that their immune system is stimulated by stroking the sides of their face as their mother would do?

I have never heard of this,but its worth a try.if nothing else,at least you are building a closer bond with them.;)
