    Protuding bone in my cat
My cat was castrated on Wednesday and now screaches when we pick him up, I realised he had a pretty big bone considering he is only 8months old protuding from what seems like the middle of his rib cage. We took him back to the vets and they said this is the norm but I am concerned they have messed up and don't want to admit it. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I don't exactly know what you mean by that protruding bone. Did you not know the vet well who did the surgery? It is isn't a big operation to neuter a male cat. Ask the vet questions and get answers is the best I can suggest. That's what I would do.

I unfortunately don't have a picture but basically it is his spectrum which when you pick him up you can clearly feel it poking out. As he is only 8months old we have been informed it may well seems better as he gets older and fatter.

A protruding bone? That's not normal. Go see a different vet and get a second opinion. That's what I would do anyway.
