    Flying with cat
I am flying at the end of the month on southwest airlines and I am taking my cat. My only problem is that the dimensions of the cat carrier they allow is 19 length, 18 width and 8.25 height and my cat is 15 pounds... They also told me that the cat needs to fit comfortably in the carrier or it will not be allowed on.. Any suggestions on a cat carrier that would work?

How long is the flight? What about a soft-sided carrier?

Its only 3 hours and I'm trying to find a carrier that will fit the dimensions they require and allow my cat to move around

It doesn't sound like he will be able to move around much, if at all. You don't want to tranquilize him, but this might work, so that he will be calm and sleep most or all of the flight --
