Is my cat really pregnant?
About 6 weeks ago we discovered that our first female was having kittens, her nipples pinked up and she has been doing great. Our second cat who until she went into heat ,we thought was a boy,has shown all signs of also being pregnant, she hs pink nipples and in fact seemed to more pregnant then our first. My qeustion is this, now after 6-7 weeks we thought our second cat was in labour as she was restless and calling a lot.I was told she would act as if in heat. She started calling and acting as if she was in heat again on Sunday night, and is still acting this way.Could she be in heat? We could feel lumps in her belly a few days ago but now we can't feel them.Anyone with any kind of ideas would be greatly appreciated. We are both on disability and really can't afford an exspensive trip to the vet, unless it is absotlutely necessary.

You have two pregnant cats? They obviously are outside cats?
If they are, in fact, pregnant do you intend to have them neutered following these litters?

If they are outdoor cats there is a possibility they had the cats outdoors somewhere.
They may have abandoned them outside or the kittens could be dead.
Their meowing and such could be the desire to be with the kittens,if any still live.
Have you checked your property?
Sometimes when two cats have kittens at the same time, one cat will kill the other kittens and help with the raising of the remaining kittens.
It's a survival mechanism.
Check your property ,if this applies at all.
I can't tell you anything more from this vantage point.

There is a possibility of a false pregnancy. I knew dogs that did that and Im sure cats can do it too. It's happened to people before as well.. But I'm no pet expert.. Call the vet maybe.

It really is time to go to the vet, I don't know why you haven't already done this, at least to find out for sure if she's pregnant.
It doesn't sound like a false pregnancy from what you described. So what is going on? I don't know, but your vet will.
Go to the vet. While there, make an appointment to have both cats spayed! Obviously the indoor thing isn't working too well for you. :(

This might be a very stupid question but, hey, its coming from a blonde-at-heart teen; Is they a boy cat in the house? I do also think it could be false pregnancy, for it sounds like cat #2 seems jealous of cat #1's litter, but, again, its coming from a blonde-at-heart teen.

I only asked a question and don't need all you girl want to be's nasty judgements! If you don't anything then keep your thoughts to yourself!! I have in fact already talk ed to a vet,and was told to wait a day then bring her in if the signs continued. As for your snitty comment abou the indoor thing not working,it works fine as long as no brained people like you don't leave the door open. Thanks for thinking you had enough knowledge to answer a simple question, but I would appreciate you not even answering any further questions I post.

I didn't leave your door opened dear, you allowed that to happen.
If you don't make sure that your cats cannot get outdoors then you need to take the proper precautions i.e. spaying them.
As for this being a simple question. No, it's not. If your cat is indeed pregnant we can't tell you for sure just by what you described. Heck, you're there and you don't know. If she isn't pregnant then something else is going on and the fact that you have yet to take her to the vet shows that you're not a responsible pet owner.
I have enough knowledge to know that a spayed cat can't get pregnant and a responsible owner ensures that there's no chance of this happening. So calm down and stop being so defensive. The truth sometimes hurts, but that doesn't make it less true.
As for my answering your questions. This is a public forum. As soon as you posted here you opened yourself up to all answers. You do not own this site, nor do you own this post, it's public property. As such, I can answer if I choose, and you can choose to ignore my answer. You cannot tell me not to post, that's not your decision to make.

Artlady and Altenweg, you two are pretty funny...
Geminiiboyz, I am here to help. Like I said before, kitty #2 could just be jealous of kitty #1. If that's not the right answer, Im sorry, I will think of a better one... How would either get pregnant, though... As in, who got Cat#1 pregnant?

Don't attempt to dictate who will answer your questions and the manner in which they will be answered. You posted that you don't have the finances to take them to a Vet to see if they are having problems delivering the kittens so I don't think asking if you plan to have them fixed is out of the ballpark.
The landlord let them out by accident? Then HE should be paying the Vet bills.
If you really want a snitty answer (which appears to be your favorite word) I find it interesting that you have no money to take your pets to the Vet but you apparently can afford Internet access.

Well more than likely, all the vets you want to hear from are probably waiting for you to call them about the cat. We were trying to help. If you don't want our help then call a vet. But that's just an opinion
