    Cat pee
I have three cats. Two are 10 years old and one is 8years old approximately. One of my 10 year old cats people in the house are saying she is peeing in the bathroom on the mat.
They are saying this because they see wet spots on the mat, and that they see her leaving. I think it is because the mat is wet due to people showering. I have bent down and smelled the mat there is no smell at all.
No changes in diet. We were on vacation for two weeks and have been back since the 6th of July. They stayed in the house and one of my brothers looked after them. Litter boxes are clean and no change in name brand of litter. She is still happy and cuddly no behaviour changes either.
I then proceeded to Google info on this and found out that there is a strong odor(which I had heard before) and that the cat should go to the vet to get checked out.
My question is with their being no odor is it still possible it is the cat or are others just being overly anxious and silly?

Thank you all for your help

Cat pee smell is unmistakable morgrann as you know. That's why you checked. You couldn't smell it from afar and you didn't smell it up close. I assume the mat is wet because of showering. Cats like bathrooms, they like to wait until someone comes in to turn the tap on so they can get cold water.

When there have been cats around my front garden, I smell it right away.

It isn't your cat peeing. Cats that are well irrigated, drink lots of water that is, as long as it is always down for them will never have stinky pee. A strong feline pee odor would signify a urinary tract problem.

I put my cats with us downstairs and they absolutely had no access to the bathroom for 24 hours. I then discovered that my bathmat being wet is from peoples showers and that it stays wet for hours after.. I think it is due to the rubber backing. I then explained to everyone what I noticed and the cats have free roam again.
I am just happy it was not my cat as that could have meant she was ill :(
Thank you tickle for your response. It helped me figure out what to do to resolve this issue and put my mind at ease for my cats health.
