    Cat licks fur off
We have had our cat allergy tested and came back empty. Now we have been given the option to try a series of seroid injections, but before we go to that as our last result, we would like to try a homeopathic remedy we heard about using chamomile. Is anyone familiar with this and if so please help.

I've personally never heard of it for that specific use. I'm familiar with some other uses, like as an aide to calm anxiety. I think it's also sometimes used with certain problems pertaining to the mouth. So I googled it and did manage to find this page:

    Kronenwetter Veterinary Care

I'm familiar with some holistic treatments, but that's not my area. I do have a friend who is fairly well versed in this stuff and she does a combination of traditional and holistic treatments. (And has like 3 vets.) I know she hangs out sometimes at holisticat and there is a forum there, which might be your best resource since all those people are dedicated to holistic treatments:

    http://www.holisticat.com/forum/

I do hope this or some other treatment works (have you checked into food?), because steroids in a cat are just bad, bad news.

Cats Matted Fur! [ 1 Answers ]
