    My cat is leaking!
My cat is 6 months old. Last night she started leaking a weird brown/red liquid from her vagina. It doesn't seem to have a odor. Her attitude seems to have change, normally she's very play full and plays with the dogs as well and now she just lays in the lounge. When I get home from work she will always wait for me by the garage and walks with me inside. She loves attention and follows me every were. Since I got home today she hasn't moved from her spot in front of the heater. My boyfriend was home the whole day and she did not even go and lay with him(which is very weird)she has not even eaten the food I put down for her this morning and didn't drink her milk ether. She normally has a very healthy appetite. She always has a bowl of fresh water and pellets and she gets wet food and milk about 3 times a day! She has been dewormed. I don't know if she might be pregnant. Her nipples have gotten slightly bigger but she has not picked up that much weight. I'm really worried about her! Someone please help!

Could be in heat, pregnant or other issues, let vet decide.

Sounds like she's going through her first heat. Sadly, we can only guess. If you're concerned, see a vet.

If your cat is not spayed and male cats have access to her pregnancy is a distinct possibility, cats don't always "look" pregnant.
A cat in heat is typically very affectionate and LOUD, so if she is not her normal self and she is having a colored discharge from her vagina a visit to the vet is the best way to go.
We can't tell you what is going on, but if your cat is abnormal and not behaving normally that is always a sign in itself to have her checked, just to be on the safe side.

I came this close to losing a dog to a uterine infection - and I keep close watch. I never noticed the discharge until it was almost too late.

    Lesson learned.

    What does the vet say?
