Cat has an eye infection and can't get into the vet for 3 days
My kitten has an eye infection. It started last night (Thursday), I noticed some green discharge from his eye. I wiped with a clean, warm, wet washcloth. I came home from work today (Friday) and it has not gotten any better. I called the vet but they can't get him in until Monday. I can afford to take him to the vet but I don't want to take him to the emergency vet unless necessary (as the bill will be $150+). The vet didn't seem too concerned about the few days wait and said to keep wiping it with a clean wet washcloth.

However, I am a worried cat owner and on line it said the cat can go blind if untreated! Should I take him to the emergency vet?

Keep kitties eyes well cleaned until Monday. It is probably a simple eye infection that antibiotics will clear up.
