My cat had her kittens yesterday with no problems,but today all she keeps doing is walking around crying,she's hardly in the box with her babies.. although she jumps in when they cry... is this normal?

My cat is crying a lot is is staying crouched to the floor while she walks. She has a fever and just wants some one to rub her belly. I canted get her to the vet for 3 more days just wanting to kind of have a heads up of what's going on I am very worried.
