My 4 month old kitten is bitting not just when we play but when he is laying close to me he will just reach over and bite me, what's the deal? Is it because he is still a kitten? When does he become a cat? After a year?

Yes, this is with all baby animals. Remember they don't have hands so they use their mouths to "test" things. When it happens, say "OW" loudly, then either move yourself away or make the cat leave. This will get better with time but you have a few good months more to look forward to. Lol

Just be glad your kitten doesn't hump your leg. Yes... I had a leg humping cat that would hold on for dear life, even when spraying with a water bottle!

Also, get him fixed at 6 months!

He's already fixed and I am wondering if this might be the reason for some of the issues I am having with him, I think maybe he was fixed to early. I got him at two months from an organization called friend of the coos county animal shelter. He pee's on the bathroom rugs but only the ones with rubber bottoms so I was thinking that its because of the smell of the rubber but three other times he has pee's one the bed sitting right next to me, and the other two were when I was holding blankets and sheets after doing laundry. ANy opnions?

Hmm.. never known a cat to not use the litter box after it knows where it is. Each time it pees elsewhere. Put it in the litterbox and use your hand to make it "scratch" in the litterbox with its paw. Then leave it alone... in fact.. a few times a day it might not be a bad idea to just repeat this. 4 months is to early for fixing (if memory serves.. or is that with a dog? Lol)

Make sure you don't keep moving the litterbox, and that its nice and clean.

Cats are very attracted to the smell produced by the rubber backing on bath mats and to bleach and ammonia. So if you had used either of those on the laundry, it might make him pee. Also, kittens are like children... sometimes they get so distracted by other things going on in their life that they don't realize that they need to to the bathroom until they really really need to, in which case they don't have enough time to get to the box. I wouldn't worry about it too much at this point if it's an occasional thing. Just make sure that you clean the areas well with something like Nature's Miracle, so that he doesn't get attracted back to the spot.
