7 day old kitten not feed of her mother... HELP!
Our persian cat gave birth to 7 kittens. This was her first litter, one of them was born dead, others though were healthy except for one. Days that followed I noticed that the weaker kitten gets pushed around so I made it my job to make sure the kitten got milk, I use to take one of the fat ones off and put him on. This went on for 6 days, every thing seemed fine, the kitten was warm was sleeping well. But today in the morning I noticed the kitten was slow, I helped him on to a nipple but he was not drinking, I tried and tried but he just won't, it seemed he had no energy. All week long I never heard him cry as such, he was just like others. He gained weight but not as much as others.
    Why has this happened?
Queen gets daily scrambled egg, chicken, meat and has high quality cat food available to her 24/7 with fresh water, milk, and cheese.
The kitten today was taken to a vet and will be spending the night in ICU, in the next 5 hours I will find out if he will make it or not. They say it only has a 5% chance. They said if its only that he is not getting milk then he will make it but if he has infection or a disease then no. But I am sure he got milk every day more or less, I use to sit there for hours each night watching him feed and fall asleep and making sure he is not pushed over.
    Where did I go wrong?
How can I make sure no other kittens has the same problem?
I really am devastated after ALL this, so many nights without sleep and so much effort why did it get to this point?

You did your best and sounds like you were wonderful at it but unfortunately it is called 'survival of the fittest' and doubly unfortunate that sometimes in every litter there is a runt and I guess this was one. But you know, sometimes those little weak babies survive to be the best ever. I hope the kitten makes it, but if he doesn't, well, you did your best sounds like.
