Specific ignition key needed for 99 Honda Accord?
Do I need to use the ignition key I got with my Honda, or can I get a valet key made?
Someone said they think the key has a chip in it.
If so, can it be disabled? They want about $100.00 to make one I think.

Valet keys are only good for short distances, then the vehicle will shut down.

If you have an Immobilizer system on your Accord, I believe your key does have a chip in it.
