Site:askmehelpdesk.com what is wrong with my car ?
My drivers side taillight stayed on for about 4 hours, so did my rear brake light from inside the rear window. I disconnected them both. I brought the broken bulbs and replaced them. Now the both tail lights stay on, even with the car off? Help!! I have a '94 Dodge Colt.

The problem may be with the brake pedal switch. First, try spraying it with WD-40, since it may just be hanging up. Second, check the brake pedal adjustment. You may find out the brake pedal pad is missing and preventing the brake switch from turning off. These pads often deteriorate, over time, and fall out.
