How do I flush the radiatior of a Jeep Liberty?
My 2007 Jeep Liberty does not have enough coolant in it. I was told I need to drain the radiator and refill with new coolant. My owners manual does not tell my how to do this. I know with older vehicles - there was a wing nut that needed turned to drain the radiator. This vehicle does not have a wing nut. Many thanks.

If you have a 2007 take it back to the dealer. Your should not need coolant with this being so new of a vehicle. I'm sure it has a waranty. Who told you that you needed to add coolant? Is it leaking? You have a resivor under the hood, check the level in that. It will say coolant etc.. On the top of it.

There may be an air dam that's obstructing the drain plug, which may be hex-shaped instead of what you're familiar with.

. Set heater slide on maximum heat, in order to drain the heater core.
. Remove reservoir cap and drain as much coolant as possible.
    . Tighten drain plug.
. Refill with a 50/50 mixture of G-05 antifreeze and distilled water. Add coolant slowly, to prevent air pockets from forming. Start car and allow it to warm up--as the thermostat opens and the coolant level drops, slowly add additional coolant. Squeeze top radiator hoses, to expel any air. Look for an air bleed bolt. If you find one, open it until coolant starts to flow out, then retighten.
    . Tighten reservoir cap.
. Test drive your vehicle and recheck coolant level. Reservoir should be filled to the top line, after the vehicle totally cools down.
    . Reattach any air dam.
    . Recycle old coolant.
