    High fuel consumption
My Honda Civic 2006 model was showing an amber light on the dashboard. When I took it to my mechanic, he diagnose the problem as "„low fuel pump pressure" so the fuel pump was replaced. The light went off after a reset but anew problem has emerged. The fuel consumption has increased. I went back to my mechanic and they check the exhaust cooling system and found that the cooling system has been perforated. There is nothing inside, it's just a hollow pipe. We tried to see if we can find a new or fairly used one to buy but to no avail. What do you advise me to do? Can I get it from the manufacturer? How much will it cost me? I'm worried, the fuel consumption is scaring.

Exhaust cooling system?? Please define. Exhaust gas in the cooling system perhaps? That is normally indicative of a head gasket leak.
