I have a 91 Ford Ranger 4X4 automatic transmission will not stay engaged
The truck until it is warmed up will not shift from second into drive.Once you get driving acts OK but then the rpms go up and down and it starts to slip.Overdrive same thing.
We have changed the transmission fluid,filter, vacuum diapharm, and adjusted the kick down cable.We are at a loss thought of trying to adjust bands.It has a A4LD.Would a 95 Ford Explorer V6 4.0 transmission fit? My truck has a 2.9 |

My 4x4 4H does not work but 2H and 4L work. This is on a 2008 Ford Ranger. I was told to take the electric motor that is hooked onto the transfer case and see if that is the problem but have not done this as yet. Has anybody else had this problem before. Thanks
I was driving my 98 taurus, and it just starting reving up. I coasted to the side of the road, and tried shifting the gears. But it does nothing, no reverse, 1st gear, drive or over drive. What could cause this?
Lever physically stops at the 2nd gear position and won't go into 1rst gear position.
We are driving down the road and a buzzer comes on . It will go off sometimes but it stays on most of the time .The buzz sounds like it is coming from instrument panel.I have checked all fluids and etc... and they are fine We just had the AC compressor replaced This is the only work done to it...
