I'm trying to remove the remaining distributor rotor which appears to be seized. There is a philip srew that I can't remove. Is it work fixing it or should I buy a whole ignition unit?

I have a 1991 Honda Civic that needs a new distributor. The bearing is bad along with the internal wiring, coil, cap and rotor. It will cost me more to fix than the price of a new one on the internet. Does anyone have any experience with the inexpensive distributors you can buy in the $125 - $150...

So I want to replace the distributor and, later on, the valve cover gasket set on my 95 civic dx, manual if that matters. Any specific way that this is done? I'm told it isn't hard but I like to get 2nd and 3rd opinions...

I have a 1999 Honda civic that wouldn't start. I paid $600 for a new distributor. The car has approx 48,500 miles on it. I have never had to replace a distributor on a car before. Is this a common problem?
