    Cranks no start
I have a 1997 power stroke diesel engine. I have fuel pressure, It cranks but no start. I can get it to run only with starting fluid. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

. Ensure oil level is full.
    . Check glow plugs.
    . Purge water.
. Ensure fuel filter has been recently changed.
. Ensure both batteries are fully charged.

It was the high pressure oil pump that would not allow the engine to start.
