    Collision override switch 2004 hyundi accent
    II had an accident with my 04 accent and the harness was damaged. A mechanic spliced some of the wires together so that It will get me home from Texas to Florida. Made it to Albama and the stopped on traffic and car turned off while in drive. Car started in park got it into drive and car shut off. Please help on the road.

    You need to seek out a professional mechanic near you. This site can not provide you with information on bypassing a safety feature of your car.

    . Basically, the only thing you can do now is review what the guy did. Ensure all connections are tight and insulated (not touching).

    When the ignition switch is turned to ON, can you hear the fuel pump, located in the gas tank, run for several seconds and then cut off?
