    Car won't start and fuel gauge and speedometer don't work
    My 2004 Pontiac Grand Am won't start. I jumped the battery. The car started, but the gauges are still not working. Could it be the alternator?

    1. Fully charge or replace the battery.
    2. Clean battery terminal and cable connections.
    3. Check all under-hood and under-dash fuses. See section X, in the link below:

    There likely is a fuse that controls power to the alternator and gauges.

    4. If the above doesn't solve the problem, you may want to have your ignition switch and harness checked out.

Civic 2000,fuel and spark, no start [ 4 Answers ]

I have a 2000 Civic 1.6 ,single cam ,that quit running.Engine turns over,good battery,fuel pump runs,injectors get fuel and signal to open and close.Also, it has spark and the engine timing is fine, but it does not start.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks
