My car all of a sudden will not switch into gear.
The car is a ford freestar Minivan. I was in the middle of driving when my car suddenly just stopped going forward. When I pressed on the gas peddle it would rev up the engine but the car will not move. The transmission fluid is full and so are all the other fluids. No indicator lights come on in the car telling me that there is a problem. What could it be? Any Suggestions?

The clutch packs are likely shot. The transmission needs rebuilding.

Ford recommends dropping and cleaning the pan, changing the filter, and refilling with Mercon V every 30,000 miles. The weak link in any FWD vehicle is the transmission. Use Mobil 1 Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF next time. It offers a much higher margin of safety.
