    1999 toyota corolla a/c compressor replacement?
    Any tricks to replacing the a/c compressor for a 99 corolla. Bought a new clutch/compressor because my old clutch bearing was shot. Was told that it would be easier and cheaper to replace the whole thing verses just the bearing.

    Smart move. Ensure the new compressor is filled with the correct amount of refrigerant oil, prior to installation. Also, I would replace the TXV and receiver/dryer, since the system will be opened.

    Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable, prior to beginning work. The link below may help, even though it's not written for your car:
