    1999 Honda Accord Stalling
I've read other posts about the ignition recall and in April of 2007 I had the Honda dealer in my area fix the recall. In July after starting my car when leaving work for the day, my car would just shut off at the 2nd or 3rd red light I came to (within 1/4 to 3/4 of a mile). What I did notice is that the electrical system just entirely shutoff (no odometer, speedometer, etc.) I would place the car in neutral and start up and it would run fine for my drive home (13 miles). Recently I noticed my car shutting off, but the electric gauges have remained on. Now today, I was driving at 60 mph and the car just shutoff (no electric for about 1-2 secs and then the electric comes back on). Does anyone know what the issue could be besides the ignition switch? My car has 168,000 miles on it.

Test/replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. AutoZone will test these items for free. I recommend replacing them every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. The ICM is a particularly problematic component and is likely responsible for the erratic behavior. Here's how to change these components yourself:
