    00 eclipse gt v6 will not drive or go in reverse
    I just sold my 2000 eclipse gt today and then the buyer called and said it would not go in drive or reverse. The shifter would go into gear but it would not move, I am guessing like it was still in park. The engine and everything stays on. Any ideas on what this could be? I can't consciously ignore this, I want to help as much as I can. As for the cars history it used to not go in reverse until driven forward a bit. Took it to mr. transmission and all they did was clear the codes and it was fine. Was trying to sell my car in payments to someone who rents from me and he said he got the solenoid replaced (probably from a junk yard).. could this be the solenoid messing up? I have seen online people have issues with the torque converter as well. I know the transmission fluid is fine and was just changed. I am thinking it is probably the solenoid but not sure if there is anything different in symptoms between that and the torque converter and needed a whole new transmission all together. I really want to see if there is anything else that can be done. I am asking them to let the car run and warm up and then try again to get it into gear and since a check engine light came on, to drive it and see what the code pops up as.
