The assignment:

Your company has developed a product that is all but guaranteed to be successful in any country that has a substantial population. The sales and marketing department would like you to do some research and find out what countries would be the most ideal markets for your new product. You will present your findings at a meeting with the board of directors.

Compile a list of the top ten countries according to population size and include the average population growth rates.

Add the potential return of FDI of the top country on the list.

Create a 1 - to - 2 page handout describing your findings, to distribute during your business meeting.

I looked at the resources offered to me and I am still not understanding much on what this assignment is asking for.. Do I need to follow the product they used in the first reference or do I go off the one I am using for my final project?

Hi, rosaj!

Since no one here knows specifically what your teacher asked, the specific verbal instructions; what your final project is or what FDI means, it would be very difficult for anyone to advise you here concerning your assignment.

What I would suggest doing is directing your question to your teacher. We would not want to be giving you the incorrect instructions here that might lead to your doing your assignment incorrectly and thus you wasting your time and possibly getting a bad mark or grade.

Please give me information on the product and also tell me your target customer segment. Unless otherwise it is imposible to make forcaste. Is your company trying to position your product/brand and make market entry based on FDI returns.
