These are two excellent resources from where you could start to get information. http://www.sba.gov/ and SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business"

You could also type in cleaning or cleaner in the search box at the top of this page. You will find lots of questions that have been similar to yours as well as very helpful answers on the links that will appear.

I am a 44 year mom and wife. I have been cleaning for 16 years and love it. How I started was very fortunate and easy. However an easy was to get clients is by word of mouth. Do the best job and go the extra mile and it will be rewarding in return. I have moved twice since I started cleaning and I always rely on the flyers I print up. I put them on doors and doorsteps and hand them out to anyone I see. Go to the nice areas of the home that are medium sized. The bigger homes sometimes are just two much and I find it is more reliable to work by myself. Do just about anything for them within reason. Charge extra for ovens, frigerators, ironing and any jobs that take extra time. Especially windows. I even let their dog or cat out when needed. I have found excellent clients and great friends through the years. I have not gotten rich but I have always done this well to support hree teens and my husband has been disabled for five years. Be honest, reliable and have faith. If it is meant to be it will. Good luck!

Thread is now old and original poster has not returned to respond to any of the posts.

Answers would seem to be sufficient at this point, especially due to original poster not returning.

    Thread is now CLOSED.
