Romance book 80s or 90s cover: lady w/ white-blond hair & blue eyes, next to curtains
I'm looking for a romance book that I read when I was a teenager, 90s, so it could have been published in the 80s or 90s. I don't remember the title or the author, just the basic storyline and what the cover looked like. I know it's a long shot but no hurt in trying, right. Its about a girl returning home - from being raised in a convent- to meet and marry her betrothal (I remember he has black hair and blue eyes), when she is kidnapped by the younger twin brothers of her betrothal's enemy (not on great terms, but I don't think they are at war or anything). The twins bring her to their castle and their older brother finds out and is upset. I think he is going to return her to her betrothal but, of course he eventually falls in love with her while he's going through the process of arranging her return. The main character has white-blonde hair and blue eyes.
I remember that in one scene - after she's married to or engaged the twins older brother- she meets her original betrothal (guy with black hair and blue eyes) and he says to her that their children would have had blue eyes, but it would have been interesting to see what color their hair would have been. He, the guy with black hair, asks that the "older brother, " give his sister (who has red hair) to him in marriage because he (the older brother) stole his intended.
I remember that it was set in england.
The cover had a lady with white blonde hair and blue eyes, from the waist up, standing beside some white blowing curtains. I know this is pieced together and I don't have specifics but if you know anything please let me know or ask more questions - I've been looking for this book for 5 yrs or so. Thanks!

    gardzlb nailed it --

Lillis of Wellewyn was the most beautiful woman Alexsander Baldwin had ever seen. His younger twin brothers had kidnapped her and thought that he would be pleased by their resourcefulness because Lillis was the daughter of his most hated enemy, Jaward of Wellewyn.

Lillis had spent the last 10 years of her life in a convent and was anxious to get home, now she was being held prisoner by this hateful person who was undeniably handsome and already betrothed to a beautiful cousin. In order to save his people from ruin because of her father's demented anger Lillis was forced to wed this man, so that he could gain her 'bride's portion' which was the land and river that her father had dammed up.

What follows is an absolutely wonderful tale of wheeling and dealing medieval style. This was a very fast moving story, with many plots and subplots that were skillfully woven together and tied up so quite nicely. (Amazon customer review)
