A 14 Gauge should be just fine. And good job for getting it done professionally! :)

Well I'm glad you're getting it done the right way. It would be bad if it came out not looking good, or got infected later. Let me know how it goes!

And anyone who likes Velvet Revolver is cool in my book. :p

Yeah a 14G is usually standard, although my nose is a 16G... when you get it pierced they will tell you what gauge they are using then you can buy the right gauge when it is healed enough to change :)

I'm getting mine done in a few weeks too! :)

I don't blame you for getting a 16 in your nose. You don't want too fat of a post in there or you could mess something up. :p

Every time I've gotten pierced they have given me the choice of 16, 14 or 12. I usually stick with 14 for piercing and if I want it stretched bigger in the future then I stretch it. :)

Yeah I have always got pierced with a 14 too... well except my nose, they just did it with a 16 and I figured they would.

Yeah I'm pretty set with not stretching haha! My husband stretchs about all of his... his ears are at 1/2G and he even stretched his tongue... no way for me!

14 is the perfect size if you want to keep it standard. :)
