I want my lip pierced, should I?
Hiya! Ok so, I'm 13 and I've already got 11 piercings, the one I really want is my lip, not sure what part of the lip though. I've been in trouble because of my nose and ears, nobody has seen my belly or tongue, Is it a good idea?
I'm not asking my mom she offered me, Keep that in mind.

My nose because it was big a bright and my teacher dislikes them, but all the Polish girls have their lips and eye brows done, I cannot see why I cannot have it done. I just want to know if it's a good idea.

A 13 year old with 11 piercings... I guess there are different parenting methods than the ones I use. And my daughter is a Pokemon nut as well.

Honest opinion: lip piercings aren't attractive.

    So, I vote no.

Does it scar? Actually that was one of the main things I should have asked, sorry about that.

I suppose if you took car of it it wouldn't scar, but if it does scar it'd be a tiny dot, so nothing to worry about.

If you have a hole in your face with something hanging out of it for any period its going to leave a mark, same as ear piercings and belly button piercings.

Of course it scars - it also keeps you from finding employment in many places which I realize is not a concern at your age.

Maybe I won't get it done...
Why do people assume it's wrong and nobody should have it done?

Perhaps they don't like the way it looks. I have no opinion one way or the other but I would not hire anyone with piercings, other than ear lobe earrings because my clients don't look favorably on piercings.

If I owned a business, I would hire people with piercings, no matter what the look it what they can do I will focus on. I'm not saying the way you do it is wrong, we have different oppinions.

And if you were in my business - I'm an investigator, in and out of Court, talking to strangers, talking to Attorneys - you would hire people with piercings and starve to death.

    You are noble but unrealistic.

I have been told that many times so I don't take any of it into offence. Maybe you're right, but I don't see why. If someone with amazing skills, one of the best workers you ever had had a tongue, lip and/or eyebrow piercing, would you hire them?
    I am not making a statement, it's a question.

People with lots of body piercings are struck by lightning more than those who have none. That may be just an Urban Legend... but you never know. That's what I've heard.

It IS an urban legend/myth... saw it on "Mythbusters". It took a doorknob to attract the current.

Poke-"poke", you're having second thoughts for a reason. Use your head. They'll be plenty of time to put more holes in your head when you get older.

And yes, discrimination exists between the pierced and non-pierced. If you needed brain surgery, who would you go to? The clean-cut guy, or the one with the nail in his nose? HMMM...

I personally don't care what people do to themselves. It's their body. It's just never appealed to me. But then again, I'm 35 years older than you.
