How do you get a tongue piercing without a parent at 15
Ive asked my mom so many time if I can get my tongue pierced and she keeps saying no and won't even let me explain to her abut it. I am 15 years old and is there a way to get it done without having a parents permission?

What are her reasons for not letting you get it done? If her reasons are based on misinformation, you may be able to present facts to make her change her mind. Then again, she may already have the facts and be the one changing her mind. Or, she may just not like it and you may just have to wait until you're 18 or not living under her roof and rules anymore.

You're 15, you don't talk her into letting you. You can state your reasons for wanting it done, but it's still up to her. If she doesn't let you, then you can get it done in three years, if you still want to.

I'm with e-mop on this. Don't get it done illegally or by someone who isn't certified. You could end up with nerve or tissue damage that would leave you with a speech impairment for the rest of your life.
Tongue piercings can also become infected quite easily, especially if not done correctly. The skin on your tongue basically replaces itself every couple days, which means bacteria can become trapped quickly and cause infection.

Have you done your research on this particular piercing?
It could be very dangerous. Perhaps she is concerned about your health. Here are SOME risks. Dangers of Tongue Piercing
Perhaps your mother thinks of this as a sexual piercing (which lots do).
OR maybe she is thinking about how this will affect your professional life (when you get one). Jobs, school, college, so on...
You have three more years, chances are in that time you will change your mind anyway. Just wait it out. The best decisions are planned out..

A stud in one's tongue has been proven to be a major cause of tooth and filling breakage, speech impediments, infections, and inability to get and keep a job (while one is wearing the stud). I'm guessing your mom knows all that and is saying no for your own good, because she loves you. And as long as you live under her roof, it's her way or the highway.

Sweetie, don't get it done without your parent/guardian knowing! I'm 15 and it took a lot of convincing and patience before I could get any of my piercings, luckily my dad is very lenient and understanding towards piercings as he has many. Id wait until the summer holidays and until your parent/guardian gives the okay! Don't hassle them as they're more likely to say no, just keep dropping little hints and make sure they know you understand the risks and say you'll pay for the piercing and you'll look after it!

Have you considered SHOWING them that you are responsible enough to handle it yet? Perhaps earning the money yourself for the piercing and doing your own research on it and writing an essay including the pros, cons, risks and rewards of the decision. And presenting it to them.

Hi,
I've been thinking about getting my tongue pierced, but I don't know too much about it.
Any and all information would be appreciated.
Also, I was wondering, once you get it done, is it like all other piercings, to my knowledge, that if you take it out the area will heal and close up.

Pierced it 5 days ago.
Situated in front of the pierced hole, there is what appears to be an 'ulcer' type looking spot.
Can anyone shed some light for me please?:(
