    Bird hurt foot or wing laying on one side what to do
    Bird hurt leg or wing can't get to vet until Monday what can I do?

    There are lots of animal refuge or animal rescue centers around if you can't find any call a vet and ask about the closet one. A vet near you should know. Take it there and they will treat him and realse hm into the wild when ready it really will give you a good feeling too.

    Is this a pet bird or a wild bird?

    If it is a wild bird then there are any centers that will call and collect..

    However if it is a pet bird it really does need you either to call a vet out to get it treated or take it to the vet...

    As the bird is laying on one side it doesn't sound good for it at all, even with 1 hurt foot or broken foot they can usually still stand on the reaining one ,
    Even with a bad wing and foot on the sae side they still can...

    I would say if the bird is on its side then chances of survival are not good... an accuulation of gasses on the side it is lying may cause an infection if it hasn't already got one...

    This bird really does need to see the vet as soon as possible i.e. now... so please get soebody to call and collect the bird if possible, all vets should treat a wild bird for free, they are funded by the governent in any cases to do so...
