    Nonpolar solubility.
    When a reagent mixes thoroughly with oil it indicates the reagent tests for nonpolar solubility.

    I think this statement is true...

    I would say yes too. Non-polar solutes dissolve in non-polar solvents and polar solutes dissolve in polar solvents, but not the other way round (that is they are insoluble when polar solute in non=polar solvent and vice versa).
