    RE: Two storm at once
I recently celebrated my daugther's first birthday. Two days before her birthday, my father in law was in a multiple car accident. He's car was hit behind by a Ford f150 and hit the car in front of him. Two days after the accident, he learned that his grandfather passed away. He had cardiac arrest & his kidney failed. Talking about two storm at once. I was asked to write eulogy about his grandfather. Please help me, I don't know what to write. I met his grandfather once during my first visit to philippines.

I would think that you will need a bit more information about the man to do it justice. Are you able to speak to others who knew him well? Ask for their favorite stories of him. If you can, do that and see if a common theme doesn't emerge to use as the thread of your eulogy or if there is a lot of variety, write of the many facets of the man. If possible include a brief summary of his life to help those who may not have known him well. If talking to others is very limited, then research a little about the role of "grandfather" and try to relate him to famous ones. I can think of three offhand -- the one in Peter and the Wolf, the one in Hans Brinker or The Silver Skates and the story of Heidi that Shirley Temple portrayed in a movie. I hope that helps. I am sorry for your loss, Bamboo.
